スウェーデン語でユールは、古代ヨーロッパの民族の間で冬至の頃に行われたお祭りのこと。
北欧諸国では現在でもクリスマスのことをユールと呼んでいます。
ユールの合図の鐘が鳴ると、はじまるクリスマス。
ここからはそれぞれのおうち毎につたわるユールの伝統を楽しむ家族の時間。
毛糸でマフラーやニットを編んだり、ケーキとクッキーを焼いてお茶の時間を楽しんだり、キャンドルを灯してトムテにミルク粥をつくったり・・・

In Swedish, “Jul” is a festival held around winter solstice among ancient European people.
Nordic people still call Christmas “Jul.”
The Christmas season begins when the bell of Jul rings.
Once the bell rings, it’s family time to enjoy the Jule traditions of each home.
The family traditions could be knitting wool scarves and knits, enjoying tea time with homemade cakes and cookies, or lighting candles and making milk porridge for Tomte.
